Unlike many simpler cameras of the period, the Minister III uses the EV (Exposure Value) system, allowing photographers to quickly pair shutter speeds and apertures once exposure has been determined. The built-in selenium meter surrounds the lens and provides fully battery-free metering functionality.
The camera features a Citizen leaf shutter with speeds from 1 second to 1/500 second plus Bulb mode, along with a self-timer and X-sync flash connection. The Yashinon lens is known for producing pleasing contrast and classic vintage rendering.

A very clean example of a lesser-seen Yashica rangefinder. The Minister III offers a more traditional photographic experience than many later electronic rangefinders and remains an enjoyable everyday shooter for photographers interested in vintage Japanese cameras.
