What Warranty Do You Offer on Used Equipment?
Most used equipment includes a 90-day store warranty. Consignment items include a 30-day warranty unless otherwise stated.
Please see our Used Product Warranty page for full details.
How Do You Rate the Condition of Used Products?
We use a clear and consistent set of condition ratings to describe cosmetic and functional condition.
See our Product Condition Ratings page for a full explanation.
Do You Buy Used Camera Equipment?
Yes, we do. Please see our Sell to Us page for details on how to get started.
Do You Accept Trade-Ins?
Yes. We accept trade-ins and can often offer more value for trade-ins than for outright purchases.
For Canadian customers, trade-ins can also reduce the taxable portion of your purchase. For example, if you buy a camera for $100 and receive a $50 trade-in credit, you pay tax only on the remaining $50.
To request a quote, please email us with the brand and model, operating condition, cosmetic condition, and clear in-focus photos if available.
Quotes are based on accurate descriptions and subject to final inspection.
Do You Sell New Equipment?
We specialize in second-hand photographic equipment. Most items we sell are used.
Occasionally we acquire New Old Stock items that are new, never previously sold, and covered by the same warranty as our used equipment.
We also sell select new items such as lens adapters and filter rings that are commonly needed by photographers using classic equipment.
All items are clearly labeled as Used, New, or New Old Stock.
Do You Accept Consignment Items?
Yes. We accept select photographic equipment for sale on consignment.
Typical requirements include items that complement our existing inventory and a minimum resale value of approximately $200.
Our commission structure is 40% commission to the store and 60% to the consignor.
We market consignment items through our website, Google, and social media. Please contact us to see if your equipment qualifies.
Do You Have Equipment That Isn’t Listed on Your Website?
Absolutely.
We have thousands of items in stock, far more than we can realistically list online. This includes modern, vintage, and antique cameras, lenses, accessories, darkroom and studio equipment, movie and projection gear, books, manuals, and other hard-to-find items.
If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please contact us — there’s a good chance we have it.
Do I Need to Pay Taxes on My Purchase?
U.S. and international buyers: We do not charge Canadian taxes or duties. Local taxes or import fees may be collected upon delivery.
Canadian buyers: Taxes are charged based on your province or territory. Please see our Taxes page for current rates.
I Have a Problem With My Purchase. What Should I Do?
If your item includes a warranty, please contact us first.
Many issues can be resolved with fresh batteries, setting adjustments, or a quick clarification. If there is a genuine warranty issue, we will repair the item, replace it with an identical working model if available, or issue a refund.
Customers are responsible for shipping the item to us. We cover return shipping after repair or replacement.
Please see our Used Product Warranty page for full details.
Do You Keep a Wish List for Special Requests?
Yes. If you’re looking for a specific item, email us with as much detail as possible.
The more specific your request, the better. Broad requests such as “vintage cameras” or “interesting lenses” may result in more emails than expected.
