Used Product Warranty

We inspect all used products carefully and describe them as accurately as possible so there are no surprises. We have been doing this since 1981, and there isn’t much we miss.

Warranty Periods

Most used products sold by Camera Trading Company include a 90-day store warranty against defects.

Some items are sold on consignment and include a 30-day warranty, unless otherwise stated in the product description.

Warranty Coverage by Condition Category

Fully Warrantied Categories

Items in the following categories are warrantied to be in perfect operating condition with no functional issues:

Used – Like New
Used – Mint
Used – Mint Minus / Near Mint

Working Order Categories

Items in the following categories are warrantied to be in good working order, except for any specific issues noted in the detailed product description:

Used – Excellent Plus
Used – Excellent
Used – Very Good
Used – Bargain

Any known functional or cosmetic issues will always be clearly described.

New and New Old Stock Items

New – Old Stock
Includes our 90-day store warranty except for products in sealed boxes or unopened packaging.

New Equipment
Covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Items may be returned directly to the manufacturer or to Camera Trading Company in the event of a defect.

As-Is Items

Items sold in the following categories are sold as-is and do not include a warranty unless otherwise stated in the product description:

Warranty Claims

If you experience a problem with an item covered by warranty, please contact us first. Many issues can be resolved easily such as replacing batteries, adjusting settings, or clarifying proper operation.

If there is a genuine warranty issue, we may repair the item, replace it with an identical working model if available, or issue a refund.

If return shipping is required, the customer is responsible for shipping the item to us. We will cover the cost of return shipping after repair or replacement.
