Yashica Electro 35 GSN Rangefinder Camera – Near Mint – Battery, Adapter, Case

The Yashica Electro 35 GSN is the final and most refined version in Yashica’s well-known Electro 35 series. Introduced in 1973, it combines a fast 45mm f/1.7 Color-Yashinon lens with a simple and effective aperture-priority auto-exposure system, making it an easy and reliable film camera to shoot.

You simply set your aperture, and the camera’s electronically controlled shutter selects the correct speed—anywhere from 1/500 of a second down to long exposures of 30 seconds or more. The built-in CdS meter continuously reads the scene, while warning lights in both the viewfinder and top plate alert you to over- or under-exposure conditions.

The rangefinder is bright and easy to use, with automatic parallax correction. The “GSN” designation indicates gold-plated electrical contacts for improved reliability, along with the later feature set including a hot shoe and ASA range up to 1000.

This example includes a modern battery adapter, making it fully usable without the original mercury cells.
