Detailed Description
Introduced in 1977, the Nikon FM is a manually operated 35mm single-lens reflex camera built around a mechanically controlled vertical-travel shutter. The camera can be operated without batteries at all shutter speeds; batteries are required only for the built-in light meter.
Manual exposure is set using the shutter-speed dial and lens aperture ring, with the camera’s centre-weighted meter providing exposure guidance in the viewfinder. The Nikon F lens mount provides access to a wide range of compatible manual-focus Nikkor lenses.
This example includes a Nikkor 50mm f/2 standard lens, Hoya Skylight filter, strap, battery, lens cap, and the original English instruction manual. Paint loss is visible on the FM logo, but the remainder of the camera is in Excellent+ cosmetic condition.
