The G series was the top of the line in Canon’s PowerShot range of compact digital cameras. In its small, classic rangefinder-style body, the G7 has features usually found only in DSLRs: 10MP sensor, f2.8 6X optical zoom, optical image stabalization, face recognition, twenty-five shooting modes (including aperture priority, shutter priority, and full manual), a hot shoe for external flash, and much more. And unlike almost all other compact digital cameras, it has real dials for selecting ASA and shooting modes, and an optical viewfinder, which is especially useful in full sun when LCD screens are difficult to see. The G7 is fully compatible with the Canon Wide-Angle Converter WC-DC58B, the Canon Tele-Converter TC-DC58C, the Canon Converter Lens Adapter LA-DC58H, and the Canon Speedlite 430EX, all listed elsewhere on this site.

Operating Condition:  Excellent Plus. The sensor has a dust speck visible in some photographs as a grey spot, but which can be retouched. The first photograph here is unretouched—note the grey spot in the clouds near the top left-hand corner; the second photograph has been retouched in iMac Photos with one simple step. 

Cosmetic Condition:  Excellent Plus. The camera shows little sign of use. The leather case has a few light scuffs.
